Press Submission Guidelines (For International Developers)

Thank you for your interest in sharing your game with the Japanese audience. We are always excited to discover new indie titles from around the world.

■ How to Submit

Please send your press releases and pitches to:

release@gamebiz.jp

■ English Submissions are Welcome!

You do not need to translate your press release into Japanese. Please feel free to send your materials in English. Our editorial team will review your information and handle the necessary context for our Japanese readers.

■ Essential Information

To help us review your game efficiently, please include the following:

Developer & Publisher Name (Required): Please clearly state the company name, studio name, or individual name for both the Developer and the Publisher.
Note: If this information is missing, it takes extra time for us to research, which may result in a delay or lower priority for your coverage.
・Game Title & Store Link: (Steam, Epic, Nintendo eShop, etc.)
・Concept: A brief summary of the game (1-2 sentences).
・Genre & Platforms: (e.g., PC, Switch, PS5, Xbox, Mobile)
・Release Date: Or expected window (e.g., Q3 2026).
・Pricing (Very Important): If confirmed, please include the price in Japanese Yen (JPY). Note: Our readers need to know the price in JPY. Please do not provide only USD or EUR.
・Japanese Language Support: Please specify if the game supports Japanese (or if there are plans for future localization).

■ Visual Assets & Press Kit

We recommend providing a link to a Press Kit (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, or a dedicated press page).

・Key Visuals & Screenshots: High-resolution images (1920x1080 or higher).
・Video: A YouTube link to a gameplay trailer is preferred.
・Note: Please ensure cloud storage permissions are set to "Anyone with the link."

■ Embargoes & Timing

If your announcement is under embargo or has a specific launch date:

・Time Zone (JST Required): Please clearly indicate the date and time including JST (Japan Standard Time). Note: For any news targeting the Japanese market, providing the time in JST is essential to ensure accurate coverage.
・Visibility: Please make the embargo information highly visible by using bold or red text in both the email subject line and the body of the message. We understand that this is a critical measure to prevent information leaks before the intended release, so feel free to state it multiple times if necessary.

■ Important Notes

・Priorities: We prioritize new game announcements and major reveals. Regular updates, minor patches, and seasonal events may have a lower priority for coverage depending on our editorial schedule.
・Editorial Selection: Submitting materials does not guarantee coverage. All content is selected at our editorial discretion.
・Responses: Due to the volume of submissions, we may not be able to respond to every inquiry individually. Our team reviews all materials, but response times may vary during busy periods.
